This may come as a shock to some people and other may have been expecting it for a while now. I started The Namek Universe as an AOL newsletter a little over 10 years ago when I was back in 7th grade, and created the web site as a sort of side-project when I was in 8th grade. The Namek Universe at one time was the largest Namekuseijin fansite available on the internet for many years running, but by now I believe that can be contested towards a few other Namek web sites.

The problem is that I have not been able to update this web site or put in the time needed to make it as pretty and shiny as some of the other web sites out there. At this point, the fandom has largely recycled itself a number of times over, and with the show having ended almost a decade ago it makes adding new material nearly impossible.

Instead of keeping up an ugly, poorly constructed version of the sites last incarnation, I have decided it will probably be better just to call it for now and close the web site. We had a lot of fun, we all made some great networking capabilities, we shared in peoples web sites and stories, and i'm glad I was able to share everything that i did with you all. I will continue to be doing Namek fanart that will likely go on my base art site at redmoonstudios.com, assuming that I can get the new version of that coded and running at some point.

Again, thank you all for your support and your help over the last 10 years. You are a remarkable group of friends.
